Dear Anonymous,

I have two pet peeves in blogging.

Word verification and people who leave mean spirited ANONYMOUS comments.

Even though you said you weren't coming back to my blog ever again, I know you'll probably come back today to see what kind of reaction you got from me after leaving your "comment love" in my last post.

Congratulations.

You got me.

It's too bad you didn't get it.

Wow, ok, so... I went back to yesterday's comments to make sure that I was all filled in and make an informed post. Anyway... What?! Are you kidding me?! That is ridiculous! Sometimes it just feels like there are people in the world who make it their mission to cause strife and hurt (and by hurt I mean severe annoyance). Anyway, just because they don't get that you are hilarious... Their loss. You don't need 'em.

Alright....it was me. I'm cowardly and can't express my opinion under my name. My hate spewed bile got the better of me.

Kidding. I don't have time to read the upsetting comment...stupid work interferring with blogging...but I'll come back later. Big hugs!

You go girl!!! It's a FREE country. Mr. or Mrs. A. can go elsewhere.

Whaaaaaat? Did something happen?

Oh, Debbie. First Saturday, now this. We need hugs and wine. Hugs and wine, my friend.

I hate word verification! I always get it wrong. ALWAYS.

Anonymous needs fiber. If you find out who she/he is....get their address so we can send some :)

Can you block anonymous posters?

Elena said...

I think anonymous is making the rounds on every Obama post out there. (Found mine too.) They sure feel passionate don't they?

Amy said...

Someone must be 'making the rounds' because I wrote a post saying 'no comment' and got LOTS of flack amongst my commenters. Sad, truly sad.

Ok, so i think i have word verification on my comments, but im not sure. I keep meaning to take it off. I need my checklist! But I will do it I swear!

And seriously anonymous...it's just the president. It's not like he actually makes real decisions anyway. That's why the check and balance system is so great. Even if we are overly democratocized this year. That's right, it's not a word, but I used it. No worries anonymous, we have all jumped on the Obama bandwagon, we just made sure it had seat belts is all.

Jealousy. That's all it is. You're fabulous and witty and popular and...right.
How's that for comment love. ;)
Love you, friend!

Grace and Peace,
Angel

P.S. We were so so so bummed Saturday too! We left the house and they were up, came home and heard :(...sigh! I didn't know we should have had the game on in the nursing home...

We took Ethan to a Penn State game when he was 4 or 5. They played Iowa. They lost then too. :(

Danean said...

Seems to me if you had such a strong opinion, you would leave your name! My 6 year old informed me that she voted for "arock obama". I am shocked that he smokes.... I guess he better improve our broken system of healthcare--he will be needing it!!

Heathahlee said...

Aw, I hate I missed defending you, girl! I would have so given Anonymous a piece of my mind...but then if they weren't ever going to read your blog again, they wouldn't see it, would they? Oh, well, let them go stew in their own bitterness. We don't want them infecting us. Unless they can get rid of it and play nice.

Anonymous said...

Okay - well . . . I really hate to do this, BUT . . . are you ready? Are you sure? Will you still like me? Huh? Huh?

It was totally me. Yep! I'm a closet liberal. I know. I know. I've tried to get over my jealousy of how much money other people make - even though they went to college for years and years and had to pay off their student loans while eating ramen noodles and then claw their way up the corporate ladder. I know. I know. I'm trying to work through my issues. Can I still come visit? I promise I'll be good for now on. Promise. Okay?

bwahahahahahahaha

NOT!!

I couldn't help myself.

I'm still with you on your concerns for Obama. I think finding humor in any situation is a talent. One you have in spades! Clearly this. . .person, has no sense of humor. And who needs friends like that?! I think you are great, and clearly everyone else worth mentioning does too.

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

I am soooo glad that you left the anon comment and didn't delete it. Because it really ticks me off. I mean. I AM the token liberal at this blog. Not Anon.

Casey (@ Chaos and Cardboard) said...

I had a stupid anonymous comment on my blog about Obama too. I just don't get it! I don't post my views anonymously, so why should they? I took the option to comment anonymously off my blog.

And for those of you thinking that socialized medicine will be GREAT. Debbie is right on with all of her concerns. I live in Germany and use the military health care system. Trust me, it's not what you want!

Trish said...

Well said.

Kat, we know you are our token "liberal" but we also know you to be a person of great integrity, willing to stand behind what you believe with your name and for that exact reason we all love and respect you!!

"The Queen in Residence" said...

I love that we all have opinions but it is always said with taste and decorum. We are all ladies here and not vicious, frightened people that yell their hate words behind others that stand with their faces shown.
By the way my word verification is gone....

It is a shame that in order to express an opinion some people must resort to rudeness and wel just plain being mean.

Michelle said...

The Anonymous commenter was probably Joe the Biden.

Ronnica said...

Word verification is the pits. I do find anonymous comments interesting, though.

Keeper of the Skies Wife said...

Seriously! Wow. I hope that anonymous comes out and shows who she/he really is.

Take it all with a grain of salt.

Denyse said...

I'm so sorry someone was ugly to you. Their mama just didn't love them enough to teach them that if you don't have something nice to say, keep you comments to yourself.

"Anonymous" sounds like one of those dried up DC wannabes who wouldn't "get" satire if it came up and bit him/her on the lip. Or, as my hubby, a long-time political reporter, would say, "If he were on fire, I wouldn't cross the street to pee on him."

Sorry for the language on this family blog, but why do people act this way? The English Teacher in me wants to ask some questions:

Why would one consider him/herself a "liberal" just because one is opposed to war? Why would one consider oneself a "liberal" just because one is angry about the greedy corporations? And if one is a liberal, does that mean that "family values" don't matter?

Sorry Mr./Ms. Anonymous, but I voted for Mr. Oka Bama, and I oppose the Iraq war, turn all colors of Angry Red when CEOs and their Golden Parachutes parade across the pages of my newspaper, & I'll bet I have more "family values" than YOU do! At least I don't hide behind the Cloak of Anonymity, and at least I proof my comments before I post them! But, of course, that's just the English Teacher in me speaking...

Nicki said...

Debbie, thanks for stopping by, and thank you for your kind words. You obviously know how to communicate well with others... very much unlike anonymous. Your posts are interesting, and your blog is a lot of fun!

Unknown said...

I just LOVE the thought that 'Anon' actually will come back and will be dying to comment again but won't because it will humiliate their 'anonymous-ness'
(Did that give you a laugh!?)

BTW...the only redeeming quality I see in Word Verification is when you get some retardly funny combos of letters...once I honesty got 'coxalot'...really...I almost peed.

what's the story sista?

You know how John Madden has a man-crush on Brett Favre, and still manages to talk about him in every other football game he ever attends, even when Favre is on the other side of the continent?

I think Anonymous has a Madden/Favre crush on Obama.

Anon-Dude,

About half the country votes one way and about 1/2 votes the other. The true test of one's character is how one behaves in adversity. Integrity means being gracious even when you don't agree. Your team won. And you're still acting like a punk.

Whatevs. I thought it was funny, Deb. Really good natured and not sore-loser-ish at all.

Britt said...

Got you? Pah! They got nothing..

No sense
No decorum
No understanding
No class

I, personally, loved your post. And since I've been MIA my Obama post is a bit late, but still on it's way. Mean, anon people can just kiss my tush. We're all entitled to our opinion. Your blog, your rules.

I agree with Lula, hugs and wine!

Anonymous said...

Dear Deb,
I think you are a beautiful person. I think your blog is really amazing. I want you to enjoy blogging and keep doing it. Don't let the buggers get you down. Don't let one nasty comment ruin your day. You're better than that.

Love, anonymous
(I'm not the same one who left the nasty comment, but I just wanted you to have an actual "good" anonymous comment)

Aubrey said...

I was, and still am, a huge Obama supporter and very proud that he is our new President. I can also appreciate another point of view, especially when given with a bit of humor! I loved it! I'll have to ask Kat if I can be TL#2! LOL

Rhea said...

It's so disappointing to get mean comments. And people who comment anonymously suck!

Debbie, I just know you would be one of my best friends IRL! I absolutely love you wit and sense of humor! All of your posts are hilarious, entertaining and fun!
