the no-snow, snow day!

Wow! Woke up this morning at 5:45a.m to get ready for the day, turned on the news to find out when this snow was supposed to arrive, only to find out that the school administrators must live in Dallas because the schools are closed today and we didn't, and still don't, have one spec of snow on the ground yet. (The schools in Dallas close on the smallest threat of snow--no snow removal equipment) OK so I was secretly happy, but really, we are only going to get 1-3 inches after school.Lindsey woke up at 7:00 (half an hour after her usual wake-up time) thinking we were going to be late and panicked. Of course, when I told her school was closed, she was thrilled. So Kyle, Lindsey and I piled in our bed, boarded the "The Polar Express" with Kyle as conductor (mind you we are all under the covers) and began our imaginary journey to the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, to a hockey game, to the driving range, to the bowling alley, finally stopping at the library where Lindsey and Kyle dropped a pile of books on me to read. So we read and read....what a glorious morning.
