Potty Seats

Raise your hand ladies, if you have fallen in the potty in the middle of the night because the seat that is meant to be down was actually up and you didn't notice it because it was pitch dark in the bathroom. My husband and son have been trained to keep that thing down, but last night at 1:30 a.m there was a break-down, and I discovered what it feels like to actually touch potty water with my tooty tot.

It must have been "the boy". I wouldn't do such a thing ;-)

Okay, I'm so loving that your husband reads your blog and comments! At least your boys are willing...my husband responds with "you all--me and my daughters--should be required to put the seat up for me!" He's so not right!! Everyone knows that Emily Post says that it is only proper to put both the seat and the lid down!

poor debbie! And I love the fact that bob reads your blog and comments too! What a guy! He should have chimmed in on the first concert, but if I remember correctly you told us in the blog. Nevermind

My sweet husband is first and foremost my biggest cheerleader and reader of this little hobby of mine. Of anyone, he has encouraged me the most...and he reads it faithfully several times a day!

I, too, am impressed with Bob reading your blog. It almost eclipses the potty fiasco. Almost.

Oh my. My husband and I just had this same conversation last night. He is usually soooo good and puts the seat down. The other night he did not, and I don't turn lights on in the middle of the night. There was almost an accident. I squinted at the toilet and it looked weird, and sure enough the seat was up!

I asked my husband if he had forgotten what he had learned in "orientation," to quote Monica and Chandler. He laughed, but that seat better be down!
