If you have been reading my blog for any period of time, you know that we have been battling the squirrel(s) in our attic... Well, Fat Hank, as we like to call him, is back and living large up there. I honestly think he is getting ready for Christmas...it sounded like he squeezed in a Christmas tree through a small hole and dropped it when I heard a loud thud up there while I was "on bed rest " ;) last week ...Then I think he hosted the Christmas party we were supposed to host last Saturday because it sounded like more than one was up there one morning. Bob set a live trap at the entry point yesterday, and we thought, ha, we will get 'em now...nope....the stinker was somehow able to get into the cage, eat the peanut butter and leave without setting the trap...it is truly comical at this point. ...we thought we fixed the problem when the critter guys sealed the first hole with a metal bracket...the squirrels must have reconvened at their weekly lodge meeting to figure out how to further invade our house. It appears that he has gnawed away at some of the siding and found another way in right near the previous entry point. Do you know how frustrating it is to helplessly watch that fur ball climb up the brick of my house? Oh yeah, we have seen him do it...sometimes he pauses, turns to look at us, and continues on his way. Stinkin' pseudo-rodent has outsmarted us yet again...dagnabit!
