This is an oldie but goodie...

"A woman was asked what it was like to be a Christian. She replied, "It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then he cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc., and then He carves out a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for the entire world to see."

We HAD to get out of the house today so we went to get a couple of pumpkins to carve..Lindsey cleaned out the big one all by herself...I made sure she got all the seeds out because I love roasting them...I have the most fabulous recipe that includes, cumin, olive oil, salt and chile pepper...to die for...anyways, Kyle drew his pumpkin face on the little one and I carved it out just as he drew it...love it...i free-handed the big one...lame I know...and Lindsey used one of those pattern kits to make the spider...they actually work very well...so that was the highlight of our day...back to school tomorrow...i think...
