who needs toys

Let me just say that we have legos, tinker toys, lincoln logs, wooden train track, and good old fashioned blocks to use for building, but this is what Kyle used to build his bridge....packaging from a curtain rod I recently purchased...why do we even bother spending money on toys when their ingenuity is better suited for trash!

Growing up, you, your sister and brother had more fun playing in cardboard boxes, stacking food cans on the coffee table, marking up our piano music for sale -- (some still have the .5 cent amount on them)and coming up with your own imaginative ideas for play. You are right, why spend so much money on toys when Kyle has used his wonderful imagination to build his own bridge. Happy parenting! I treasure those days long gone.
