I NEED THIS FOR MY FLOORS!

Slipper Genie Micro Fiber Cleaning Slippers from Bed Bath and Beyond

TO GET RID OF THIS!

I can't believe I just showed you that. Actually, I can't believe I took a picture of it. Because it's really gross. And I'm here to tell you they are going to send me to the looney bin. The floors, not my kids. So I'm really thinking about buying those slippers. No seriously. Maybe I'll get a pair for everyone in the family. They come in lots of colors. I have hardwood throughout my entire first floor. Which is good and bad. Good because I don't have to vaccuum/sweep everyday, bad because I need to vaccuum/sweep everyday. Something needs to be done soon. Before I am led to drink more Diet Coke than I already do. And that is a post for another day. All by itself.

What is that brown stuff? Could it be from your Rainbow sweeper? If you say yes, I'm going to laugh for hours!!! I'm with ya, though. I have to sweep my hardwoods E-V-E-R-Y-S-T-I-N-K-I-N-D-A-Y!!!!!! Seriously, what is that brown stuff?

Kimberley, are you talking about the dirt? That is a floormate that I use once a week to clean the floor and the brown stuff in it is dirt! What's a Rainbow Sweeper?

Oh and Holly, I found them in a circular for Bed, Bath, and Beyond that I received in the mail yesterday and absolutely cracked up when I saw them because I had been complaining earlier about trying to keep the floors clean!

Oh my stars. This is cracking me up. I think you SHOULD get a pair for everyone in your family. I think I will. Think of how much fun they'd have "ice skating" across the floor. I, too, have a love/hate thing going on with my hardwoods.

And yeah, Kimberley, what's a Rainbow sweeper??

Even the cleanest homes in the world would have guck like that in their dust bins--it means your vaccum is working of course :)!

We have wood floors in most of our home too. Nice because when they're clean, they're clean. Not so nice because you can't hide ANYTHING on them. Every crumb is out there to be admired (or hated!).

DON'T TURN TO THE DIET COKE MAN!--that stuff will rot your teeth and bones :)!

Oh yeah--also saw a kind of baby romper meant for crawling babies to wear to help dust the floor. Maybe you could get one of those too?! :)

A rainbow sweeper is a very expensive sweeper that traps dirt in a water basin...looks similar to your floormate! It's one of those sweepers you can't buy in a store. A home demonstration is necessary. This should have been clue number one to lock the doors, shut the blinds, hide under the bed and pretend no one is home! But no, I invited this salesman to my home because he/his sweeper was going to change my life forever and make me the queen of clean! When I finally revealed to Mr. Science (hubby) how much he paid for our sweeper, he asked his name--the sweeper--and told me the thing better make breakfast! He is now lovingly referred to as the butler...but don't run out and spend your thousands like I did, because I loathe filling my sweeper with water every time I need to sweep, and then having to empty the completely disgusting contents afterwards! The only good thing about this water basin thing--I once found my earring that I had unkowingly sucked up! What is the best way to keep hardwoods anyway?

oops I posted this on the wrong blog day... so here I try again..lol

hey Deb
I have been missing your post for the last few days.. when I clicked the site and saw the hoover... ooooooo..... that thing grosses me out when I use it. I treated myself to a irobot last year, it does do a get job sweeping the floor - pain to empty and clean the rollers(but u dont have cats). After roomba finishes the kids run the swifter wet cloths..... MR Hoover is not so bad after that ......... but still gross...

Just to let you all know that I am actually surprised Kimberley has not worn out the Butler. Every time I shout out to her she is going to sweep the floors.

I saw those slippers in the BB&B ad (not to be confused with Baily, Banks and Biddle) and cracked up laughing. Now I am laughing even harder at the thought of your whole family wearing them! You gotta get 'em.
