HOWEVER, it has been on hold this week because I am completely addicted to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman. If you haven't visited her blog yet, well, prepare to be completely sucked in and swallowed whole. I had to back all the way up to September 2007 where she begins recounting the love story of how she met her husband, Marlboro Man. http://thepioneerwoman.com/?page_id=693

I am a sucker for a true story, and this girl can write. It's good, clean fun and it takes me away and reminds me of the amazing courtship Alan and I shared when we met and married in 9 months.

It is 30 chapters and I am on 25...it is all I can do to not completely neglect my family to finish the story!

How is the Big D?Traceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12061035774509241772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-393498084711103306.post-35703073892822933682008-03-17T19:34:00.000-04:002008-03-17T19:34:00.000-04:00Actually, "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" was writt...Actually, "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" was written by Kim Edwards.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02315720415774254785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-393498084711103306.post-6783553163752331352008-03-17T19:31:00.000-04:002008-03-17T19:31:00.000-04:00Veronica and Trish, I read "The Memory Keeper's Da...Veronica and Trish, I read "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" last fall and did enjoy it. It had loads of character development which is what I love. I have heard of Jodi Piccowhatever but haven't read anything of hers. My next book is "Atonement" which I picked up just before I left for Texas. I also loved my Sister's Keeper by her as well. The Memory Keeper's Daughter was fabulous. Have a great trip. I also just saw the movie and while it's very good too, it deviates from the book (of course). I read the second while on vacation at Disneyland, I don't think I would have been able to get through it without "the happiest place on earth" to go to every day. It was difficult, and while I know it was fiction it made me very grateful for my freedoms that I have and how blessed I am to be an American.
Right now I am reading "Questions Kids Ask About S*x" because I have an eight year old in public school (need I say more?) and I have been trying to get through "Captivating" for a couple of months, but I have to many issues to deal that make it a difficult read for me.
I do feel like it is time for a good fiction book though......
Another recommended read is
"The Memory Keepers Daughter"
Happy Reading!Trishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12995343913821606086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-393498084711103306.post-11261877501939967722008-03-17T00:02:00.001-04:002008-03-17T00:02:00.001-04:00I'm not reading anything right now because when I ...I'm not reading anything right now because when I have free-time, I scrapbook, work on my novel, blog, or take care of other things.
