Oh wait, I need to stop and go watch "The Office." I'll be right back.
Okay, I'm back. Let's recap tonight's episode of "The Office" shall we. Dwight gave birth to a watermelon. Michael threw a baby shower for himself. And sadly, Jim and Pam didn't say "I love you" to each other at the end of their goodnight call. Sigh. Trouble's a brewin.
Now, where were we. Oh yeah, random things about me.
Alas Amy Kay , Julie, and Karen , I have procrastinated long enough. As you requested, here are six random things about me:
Here goes:
1. I wear a size 7 shoe. BUT, I wore a size 6 pre-kids. My girly girl doc said she went up TWO sizes after kids. That whole phenomena baffles me. Did that happen to any of you?
2.I am a die hard...I mean die-hard, Penn State football fan. I schedule my Saturdays around watching PSU play, because THAT is appointment TV for me. And, of course, I watch all the reporting on ESPN afterwards.
3.This is my right eye. Wow. The ends of my hair are really light right now and I look kind of blotchy...oh well. Hey, it doesn't get any more random than this peeps.

4. I wore braces for 7 years. YES, SEVEN, S-E-V-E-N years. I got them on when I was 13 and had them removed when I was 20. Do you know how many rubber bands I went through? Sheesh. I hated those things.
5. This is my 495th post. Yup only 5 more till I hit 500! Don't expect a big party and gifts. We have established how much I hate holding contests.
6A. I was born on October 17, 1963.
6B. Today, I am turning for...for...for...ugh, I can't get the word out...Connie, I need help,...ffffff-forty-five.
There I said it. Today I turn 45.
Woo hoo. Blah...blah...blah..boo hoo hoo hoo....
Now all of you are tagged. Go back to your blogs and scribble out your randomness for all of us to see.
Meanwhile, I am going to have lunch with the girls.

OOO OOO OOO! I'm first to wish you a very very very HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!! WOOT WOOT!

Your first random thought reminded me of a line from "Steel Magnolias". Truvy says, "Well, in a good shoe I wear a size 6, but a 7 feels so good I buy a size 8."
ReplyDeleteHope you have a birthday that is a fantabulous as you are! We love you!
MMMwwwwhhhaaaa haaaaaa haaa haaaaaaaa!

ReplyDeleteI now have the birthday song from my toddler's favorite tv show running through my head .. so you'll be getting wishes from me for the next hour or so :o)
I know grown-up birthday's aren't half as fun as kiddo birthdays .. but I hope your day is awesome :o)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
ReplyDeleteYou have the most beautiful 45 year old eye I have ever seen. As a matter of fact I never would of guessed that it was 45 because everyone knows true beauty is ageless. ;)
Have a wonderful, beautiful, fantastic day!
You're today's layover - surprise! And have a wonderful birthday!!

illahee via BATW surprise layover. :D
Happy Birthday, Debbie!!
ReplyDeleteYes, my feet are 1/2 to 1 size larger since I had my baby. I miss all of my old shoes. I loved my shoes.
Happy Birthday to you! I hope you have a fabulous day!
ReplyDeleteGo get a massage or something! :)
A very Happy Birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful, memory making day, filled with lots of love!
A special birthday hug from Brayden for all those hugs you sent his way (and his mommy).
Happy Birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy, Happy Birthday! I hope that you have an awesome day. Love all that you do for the blogging word.
ReplyDeleteI have two little baggies of braces rubber bands left over. I use them to pull my little one's fine hair into pig tails. They work like a charm!
ReplyDeleteI love random posts.
Hope you have a wonderful birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you!!!! Hope it is a great one :D I turn 39 in January, so it will be my LAST one, I can't even fathom turning fff fff ffffortyyyy! YIKES!!
ReplyDeleteMy shoe size went from 8 1/2 to a 9 after child birth. I guess all that weight makes your feet grow? I don't have a clue, but everyone I know has had it happen.
Happy Birthday Sweetie!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Penn State gives you a
"W" for your birthday!!!
Happy Birthday!!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHappy to you! Happy to you! - That's courtesy of the Monkey. He can only get 3/4 of the words out!
ReplyDeleteI don't think my feet expanded too much after pregnancy. I think it helped that I was already a "curvy girl" so my feet weren't surprised by the added weight! Thank goodness, or I'd have spent a ton replacing my 30-mumble-something shoes!
Have a great lunch with the girls, and wicked awesome day!
I hope that lunch lasts a good, long time and you get home safely afterward.
ReplyDeleteYeah, my feet grew 1 full size after the babies. My neighbor's grew two sizes - and she lost her hair :(
Turning 45 isn't so bad, girl! It's 46 that's the kicker.
Happiest of days to you !!!!!!
Hapy Birthday honey!
ReplyDeleteHope it's the greatest ever.
Debbie -- Happy Birthday!!!! I'll tell you what I tell the hubster every year -- I love you mostest because you're older than me!!! (not by much but you still are -- neener neener boo boo!) Only kidding -- I love you mostest because you are downright wonderful and cheery and just what I need to read to keep my spirits up! Have a wonderful day and keep staying older than me...k?
ReplyDeleteIt's my Fairy Blogmother's birthday and all I got her was this comment.
ReplyDeleteI am very sad.
We will be discussing this travesty very soon, Debbie.
Happy happy happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteYay on nearly being at 500 posts!
Oh, and I'm totally with you on that whole braces rubberband thing... Those little buggers were the bane of my existence during my life with braces.
Anyway... HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
What a great getting-to-know-you tag!! And it's a great day to do it! Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!!!! Hope you have a nice one! You crack me up with your randomness. Your eye?? LOL~ That's why I like you. laughter is good for the soul. Thanks, and enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Debbie! I hope it's the best one ever! And what can I say? In my mind, you will always be 25!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Deb! And what a pretty right eye you have :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday (I'm over from BATW). I wish I had time to be more than a lurker, but I really love what you do over at BATW! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd once again, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Debbie :)
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine seven years of braces. I would have gone nutty. Are you sure your orthodontist didn't have kids going through college at the time?
And I SO get the PSU thing. We're going on vacation on Sunday. AFTER the NU game. And they're away next Saturday but I will be watching the game on tv. And we get back in time for the next game. I even planned Mister Man's birth around it (ok, not really but it worked out well).
Enjoy your lunch!
I hope your day is a blessed one! Go have lunch with the girls and enjoy yourself. Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteHowdy and Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI'm new to BATW, but I'm already enjoying it. You did a great thing when you put it together. And now that I know about your personal blog, I'll be back. :)
Steph
Happy Birthday, Debbie! One of my best friends is celebrating a birthday today as well. I hope you have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteWell Girl you enjoy your lunch with your girlfriends today and come home and read all this love we're sending you. We do think you are amazing and I'm so glad to have you in my bloggy life. I'd take you next door too if you'd move to Texas :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. and btw my shoe size went from 5.5 to 6.5 after 2 kids. 1/2 size each kid. Go figure. My waist did too and it won't go back down either. :(
LYLAS, Joy
Happy Birthday chickie! I hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday chickie! I hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHippo birdie two ewes!
ReplyDeleteHippo birdie two ewes!
Hippo birdie, deer Debbie,
Hippo birdie two ewes!
:D
Oh, and PLEASE don't think trouble is brewing for Jam - I couldn't take it! At least Michael finally asked Holly (Molly?) out. I got a little choked up at that! I was really worried that Michael would listen to Jan and *not* ask her out which would've totally sucked. Whew.
Hope you are having a fantabulous birthday - you deserve it!!
Cheers!
Happy birthday, Debbie! And thanks so much for being a great host for all us bloggers and blogger-wannabes. You give us lots of love just by being YOU!
ReplyDeleteI love the birthday plug! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! The fun thing about blogging is not knowing how old everyone is when you meet them. Everyone sort of seems the same age, mostly. It makes you realize age has nothing to do with how great you are.
ReplyDeleteAnd I went up a 1/2 size with each child. . .good thing I only had two!
Happy birthday Debbie!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteI'm still 47....na na na na na!
Happy Birthday.. I finally clicked on the button for Blog around the World that I see every where, and I sighned up correctly, I think....great to find a new blog to read...
ReplyDeletehappy happy birthday! I hope you like the surprise layover at your place! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteShruti
Happy Birthday! You don't look a day over 20! =)
ReplyDeleteComing from Lizzy's blog, here to wish you a Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteGirl, 45 is young! You're not even over the hill. I have plenty of patients in their 90's still getting freakin' open heart surgery so they can live another 10 years!
Besides, for every hour you blog, you add one hour onto your life. I'm looking at living to be 100 by now...
Debbie, thanks for the ramdom things. It's neat to learn more about someone. I used to be an 8.5 in shoes pre-kids, then went to a 9.5, and now that I have lost another 30 lbs in 6 months, I am back down to an 8.5. WOO HOO!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, you're not old.
Hugs, Amy ;)
Happy Birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteI gained a size after pregnancy, so ditched all of my pre-preggo shoes and stocked up on new ones. Now, four years later, I'm down a size, back to my original foot. I cry when I think of all those great shoes I should've kept just in case.
Happy Birthday! Hope you are having a great day! Lunch out with the girls sounds wonderful... have fun!
ReplyDeleteI did go up 1/2 a shoe size after being pregnant. It baffles me, too.
And I sure hope no trouble is a-brewin' for Jim and Pam! This is one fairy tale romance that had better have a happy ending... or I will be livid!
You just hang out with me and you can be young forever. :-) 45 was great, and 46, so far so good!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!
Happy Happy Birthday to you!! Woo Hoo!! ~Jill :)
ReplyDeleteLet me join the fun. Happy Birthday!!! from way down South.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great lunch with the girls and let yourself be spoiled today!
Happy Happy Birthday! YAY! Hope you have a GREAT day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all you do, keeping BATW running, I love the little adventures you send us on!
happy happy happy birthday! i hope you have the very best day! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Dear Debbie!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where I heard it, so I can't vouch for its truth, but I heard that women's feet never stop growing! Isn't that nice to know! LOL
Hey, don't forget the Michael & Holly hug!
Happy Birthday Debbie!
ReplyDeleteFrom a stalker...lol
Have a great day!
Suh-Prise!!! A Surpise Birthday Par-tay, BATW Layover-Style!!! Can I get me a Woo-Hoo???
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope you didn't have that entire bottle of birthday wine before you left for lunch with the girls!
Love your "random" facts. Things we have in common (sort of)...
i wore a shoe size 8 pre kids and know I am an 8 1/2!!!
I had brace on for 6 1/2 YEARS!!!!! UGH. I was told 18 mos- 2 yrs. but 3 oral surgeries, a handful of spacers, millions of rubberbands, and 6 1/2 years later they came off. I remember my teeth felt "wobbily" the day they came off... ahhh those were the days!
All right - enough rambling - have a GRRRRReat B-day!
Happy birthday, happy happy birthday. Happy birthday, happy happy day. Do we have a birthday here? YES, we have a birthday here. Birthday here...birthday here. YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your random things about me blog. Enjoy YOUR Day!
Lynnette Kraft
PS My feet have grown ...shrunk...grown...shrunk...9 times! But, age seems to make my feet more boney (along with my face, which ISN'T a good thing).
When I say "The Girls" I am either talking about my female offspring or my boobs. Which one is it?
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you and your girls!
Happy Birthday ! I did the Meme.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Debbie!! I hope you have a terrific day & weekend!! Have a glass of wine for me! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy B-day, Debbie! Now, 45 wasn't all THAT hard to say, was it? And 500 posts? Seriously, You Rock!
ReplyDeleteHappy, Happy Birthday, Debbie! I hope you are feeling some serious BATW love today. Thanks for all you do for the rest of us. You always brighten my day. Have a wonderful day, yourself, today.
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Birthday!!! I hope you are having a fabulous day, and that you have many many many more to come!!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say that the feet growing issue affected me too!!! Before my boys I had a size 7.5, but now I wear an 8.5 or a 9. NINE! That's HUGE for me and my "once I was a 7.5" mentality! :) The odd things that happen to us when we have our babies, huh?!
Yay for 45! Celebrate it! You're only 45 once...
ReplyDeleteWow, 495 posts. That's admirable!
How cool would it be if my team met yours in the national championship? If it wasn't your birthday I would follow that question with trash talk.
Happy birthday again! I hope it's a good one!
45 x Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteMy feet grew after pregnancy also. I was a 6 and went to a 7. WEIRD. I hear that from so many women. It's bizarre!
ReplyDeleteSeven years of braces?!! That's just WRONG. So wrong.
Happy Birthday!! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog...just wanted to let you know that I DID post some new pics...thanks for reminding me. I didn't realize that it had been almost a month and a half!
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your having a Wonderful day.
That happened to me too!!! I was a size 7 shoe, and 3 kids later I'm an 8 1/2. My ring size, too. No one told me weird things like that would happen. My hair falls out after I have a baby. I really hate that one.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, girlie! Be proud of your age! It just gets better as we get older. Twenties, schmenties.
~Heather
happy birthday!
ReplyDeletehappy birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! Hope you had a fantastic day.
ReplyDeleteYou are SO LOVED!!! And I am so sad that I don't get to be one of those girls you are going to have lunch with....maybe,...someday. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and I love what you do at BATW. Be blessed!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday from a new BATW reader! No worries on the 45 thang - I'm older and it'll be okay. Really. Trust me. Even though you don't know me. Ha! Ha! Ha! I am enjoying your blog. Glad Darcy sent us your way. :D
ReplyDeleteHappy 45th and almost 500th post Debbie!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletebtw... my feet grew 2 size after kids too .... as if they weren't big enough before.......
Keep Giggling!
Happy Belated Birthday, Debbie! Hope it was a good one. Thanks for all you do with BATW!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry; I'm 45, and it's not so bad :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, aren't you a little stinker just nonchalantly throwing in that its your birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
And you have a beautiful right eye!!!
Happy birthday Debbie. I'll be catching up with you in the middle of November...45, hmmm, having sailed through 40 I have a feeling this one's going to be a toughie...
ReplyDeleteAnd a Belated Very Happy Birthday to You, Dollface! You light up our lives, ya know that?
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo late! Hope you had a lovely birthday, Debbie!!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY! To you! Love the Right Eye Pic! And the shoe size! We have a few things in common. :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE!!! Sorry I'm late wishing you a happy birthday but I've been gone on vacation for a week. I've missed a whole week of BATW!! :(
ReplyDeleteI hope your day was fabulous!!
OK, sorry Debbie, I haven't read Aaaaaaall your comments, but did anyone else tell you your one eye is gorgeous?! How on earth do you separate your lashes so minutely.
ReplyDeleteWoW.
I'm just impressed.
Oh, happy B'Day, Friend!
Hey Debbie....I just tagged you on my blog as one of my favorite blogs to follow...Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWell, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, my feet grew while pregnant! Pre-kids I wore a 7/5 or 8. Now I wear at least a 9. So attractive.
Happy birthday! And it was 2and a half shoe sizes for me too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Debbie. Even though this birthday wish is several days late, its still comes with all the love in the world.
ReplyDeleteAnd speaking of love...THANK YOU so much for stopping over in NC for a layover. I got so much love its crazy! We went out of town early Friday morning, so I didn't get the chance to properly thank you. It was a great day!
Another Belated HAPPY Birthday wish coming your way! Hope your day was as wonderful as you are!
ReplyDeleteI went from a 7 pre-kids to an 8 after my three. Your list cracked.me.up! The eye picture was the best random one ever! LOL
Debbie, I had no idea you were sooooooooooo old!!! and had such large feet!! Ha ha, I'm kidding of course. You are super young. In fact I would have guessed 37! Seriously! I'm an old raisin at nearly 49. Oh, and my feet are 7 1/2, they went up to 8 and then back down after the babies were born.
ReplyDeleteI never wore braces, though I should have on the bottom.
Oh, pardon me for stating my own six random things on your blog. I got carried away again.
Have a great evening. Kathi thanks for the encouragement you gave me last week.
Happy Belated Birthday girlfriend!! Hope you did something awesome to celebrate. xoxxoxo
ReplyDeleteDarn! I missed your birthday post last week. I'm sure the celebration is still going on, as it should for every woman.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Debbie!
Oh, and I wore braces for 6 months and my feet didn't grow at all after 3 kids. Let's not talk about the boobs, though...
Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I had smaller feet pre-kids. Went from a size 8 to a 10. Someone once told me it's because your arches fall/flatten and that makes your foot longer. Makes sense to me.
Belated Birthday greetings from the land of the long white cloud. Hope you had a ball and enjoyed this special birthday blog crack.
ReplyDeletehappy birthday!
ReplyDelete
